PSYCHOTHERAPY IN THE INFECTIOUS DISEASES HOSPITAL: WAYS OF APPLICATION AND DEVELOPMENT

A wide range of mental disorders is observed in patients of infectious diseases hospital. As a rule, they remain at preclinical level. But even mild forms of behavioral changes may cause considerable psychological problems during the process of treatment. To solve these problems adequately, there must be psychotherapeutist as a staff member of infectious diseases hospital. The work of the psychotherapeutist should be based mainly on the recommendations, advices and supervision for the doctor in charge concerning the managing of the “difficult patients”.
