Psychopathological phenomena in the clinical course of viral hepatitis remain, as a rule, at preclinical level; however, they have substantial influence on the patients’ perception of disease and their behavior during its treatment. Psychotherapeutic approaches in various “difficult” situations are proposed in the article. In author’s opinion, inadequate types of patients’ attitude toward the disease should be the main target of psychotherapy. Besides, full and exhaustive information about the disease must be the essential part of patient-physician relationship; also it is the most important psychohygienic factor. Psychotherapy and psychohygiene must be closely connected with organizational moments of the treatment, all medical advices and prescriptions.
