It is well known that asthenic disorders frequently develop during the acute phase of viral hepatitis. Viral hepatitis is also the risk factor for post-infection fatigue. In this study an attempt was made to evaluate the asthenic disorders in the late convalescence phase of the disease, using the specially designed questionnaire. 39 patients with hepatitis A, B, C and B + C participated in the investigation, which was conducted in 6 months since they were discharged from the hospital. It was shown that asthenic disorders play the leading role in the recovery period of viral hepatitis. Associated dyspeptic disturbances were less regular and had no reliable pathogenetic correlation with asthenia. By the means of cluster analysis two distinct groups of patients were revealed, differing mainly by significance of asthenic disorders. It is recommended to consider these data during medical supervision of patients with viral hepatitis during their recovery.
